Recently, we had the privilege of creating a bespoke suit for a client based in the Netherlands. What made this experience particularly special was that the entire process was completed remotely.
Our client reached out to us online and provided us with his measurements, along with a full-body photograph to assist us in understanding his proportions and fit preferences. While nothing replaces an in-person fitting, this experience reminded us that with expertise, clear communication, and precision, exceptional tailoring can still be achieved from thousands of kilometres away.
Once the suit was completed, the client’s parents, who were visiting South Africa at the time, collected it on his behalf and took it back to the Netherlands. Naturally, there is always a level of anticipation when delivering a custom garment without a physical fitting. Would the measurements translate perfectly? Would the fit meet expectations?
